Compliance

Disciplined execution.

Every transaction is subject to appropriate commercial, counterparty, compliance and documentation review before it proceeds.

Counterparty due diligence

We review ownership and control, operational capability, track record and commercial standing before engaging with a counterparty, and revisit that assessment as relationships develop.

AML and sanctions screening

Counterparties, beneficial owners, jurisdictions, vessels and cargo origin are screened against applicable sanctions regimes and anti-money-laundering requirements.

Transactions that cannot be satisfactorily cleared are not pursued.

Trade documentation

Contracts, inspection certificates, shipping documents and payment instruments are prepared and checked so that obligations, quality tolerances and delivery terms are clear to all parties.

Traceability and risk management

Where the commodity and market make traceability applicable, origin and chain of custody are verified. Price, credit, logistics and performance exposure are assessed transaction by transaction.

Third-party financial providers

BCDZ does not provide financing or regulated financial services. Letters of credit, payment structures and working-capital requirements associated with underlying physical trade are coordinated with appropriately licensed banks and financial institutions.

Raising a concern

Concerns about conduct in connection with a BCDZ transaction can be raised through the enquiry form on the contact page, marked for the attention of the compliance function.
